The Egyptian Publishers Association, headed by Adel Al-Masry, condemned the terrorist attack, which he described as a vandalism that targeted the Church of St. George in Tanta and the Church of St. Mark in Alexandria on Sunday morning.

The Egyptian Publishers Union offers its sincere condolences to the Egyptian people and regards the families of the victims and martyrs in their painful suffering and wishes for the speedy recovery of the wounded and injured.

The Union stressed that this cowardly attack is a continuation of failed attempts to overthrow the Egyptian state and a cowardly response to the achievements made at the local and international levels. He called on the responsible parties to shoulder their responsibility for this event which is deeply damaging to the Egyptian people and turning their holidays into sad days.

A number of lawyers have filed a lawsuit against the Council of State to stop the sessions of the Council and call for a popular referendum on the survival or resolution of the Council.
